Where science meets the soul, and healing finds its way back home.
I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, and I work with people who are going through difficult moments in their lives.
I have an integrative style that allows me to draw on a diverse set of therapeutic techniques to meet the needs of each client individually.
I have worked with children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of difficulties, including domestic violence, complex trauma, anxiety and depression, self-harm, work-related problems, grief and loss, and sexual abuse.
The focus of our work will be to help you understand yourself better and to find more constructive ways of dealing with the issues or the important relationships in your life, in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
To adapt my approach specifically to the individual needs of each client.
Psychotherapy and counselling help when a person is facing difficulties in life, in relationships, work-related problems, or more specific mental health issues that can cause a great deal of psychological pain and last for long periods of time.
Effective treatment can result in significant and lasting change. I use different therapeutic tools, such as hypnosis, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), the genogram, somatic therapy, mindfulness and the person-centred approach, to help the individual gain insight and understanding into the influence of their difficulties in life and their past experiences on their present behaviour and life choices.
For example, when working with clients experiencing stress and anxiety, I use techniques such as mindfulness to ground them and direct their focus to the here and now, which can relieve some of the symptoms of distress and anxiety.
I help clients to stop, take a step back and observe their thoughts and feelings. I adapt to the needs of each client, as a single approach may not work for everyone, since we are unique individuals.
Here is a brief summary of what I consider important for you to know about me. I began this career because I wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives.
For that reason, I continue to develop myself in the field of psychological and other therapies.
I completed my master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy with a humanistic approach. I qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, which incorporates approaches from CBT and ACT.
I use these approaches to help my clients deal with stress, anxiety, PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and depression. I graduated from City University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with an emphasis on counselling and health psychology.
I believe that the experience and knowledge I have gained allow my clients to receive the holistic and integrated support they need, and to recover more quickly. “I do not want to be your safe boat, but your lighthouse. You navigate, you find the way. I guide, I orient. We work together to reveal the best in you.”
Today, 8 Dimensions of Wellness is more than a clinical practice. It is a method, a community, and the way I translate into structure what I have always believed: that real care is care of the whole person.
Even working with very different presenting problems, from trauma to stress at work, I noticed that suffering always touched several dimensions of life at the same time. The symptom presented was only the doorway.
Each person calls for a different combination of approaches. It was this realisation that led me to continually deepen my training — CBT, ACT, hypnotherapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness, the humanistic approach — not as a collection, but as an integrated repertoire.
8 Dimensions of Wellness organises that repertoire into a coherent structure: eight dimensions of human wellbeing held by a single therapeutic process — where each client receives the holistic and integrated support they need.
A first twenty-minute conversation, with no obligation — to sense whether it makes sense for us to walk together.
